3,800new cases reported every year — the most common cancer among women in Lebanon.

~50%of patients are under 50. This is not only an older woman's disease.

When to check

A self-examination once a month.

A clinical breast exam by a doctor every three years.
فحص سريري عند الطبيب كل ثلاث سنوات.

A clinical exam and a mammogram every year.
فحص سريري وصورة شعاعية (ماموغرام) كل سنة.
Family historyتاريخ عائلي
Start ten years before the age of the youngest case in your family.

The Ministry of Public Health has launched the 2026 National Breast Cancer Awareness and Early Detection Campaign. Digital mammograms are free year-round at government hospitals for women over 40, and available at reduced prices in centers contracted with the Ministry.

أطلقت وزارة الصحة العامة الحملة الوطنية للتوعية والكشف المبكر عن سرطان الثدي ٢٠٢٦. الصورة الشعاعية الرقمية مجانية طوال السنة في المستشفيات الحكومية للنساء فوق الأربعين، وبأسعار مخفّضة في المراكز المتعاقدة مع الوزارة.

Cancer Support Fund at AUBMCFinancial help for adult patients who cannot afford treatment.
